FORMS & WIDGETS - Boxed lists

Boxed lists display multiple possible selections. They do not expand but they may scroll. They are useful for lists with subgroups of items, allowing the user to see more than one item at a time.

Good usability for boxes lists is to allow the user to scroll using the first letter of the desired entry on the keyboard.
Occasionally boxed lists are used to select multiple items using the “Ctrl” key, this however can be awkward and multiple-select forms are a better solution.
