FORMS & WIDGETS - Pop-ups

Pop-ups should be used when the user needs to either collect or provide secondary information without interrupting a task flow:

  - to display tools such as calendars, toolbars and palettes
  -

to deliver contextual messages

  -

to provide an area where the user can provide quick feedback (like a poll)

  - to magnify a small area on a page, for example a product label that would be otherwise too small to read
The system should wait for users to ask for pop-up instead of popping them up automatically.
Provide "OK" or "Save" and "Cancel" buttons. Don't rely on users knowing they can cancel the box using the X button at the top right corner.
The popup box should be between a quarter and a third of the window size.
