NAVIGATION - Tabs

If tabs are used, avoid the mistake of using them to show the different pages of a sequential series of tasks.

Tabs allow a user to jump around, use tabs to display different views of a single information object, for example, when displaying an automobile for sale online, appropriate tabs would be things like available options, price, colors.

When the user selects a tab it should come to the front of the pile and change color or focus.

Limit tabs to a single row.
